This trek will take you through the Annapurna mountain range to a peak elevation of 3,210 m at Poonhill. On this trail, you will come across enchanting villages of Ulleri, Ghorepani, and Ghandruk occupied by the Magar and Gurung ethnic groups. The view at sunrise of the stunning Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Mt. Manaslu (8,163 m) and Annapurna I (8,091 m) from the Poonhill viewpoint will take your breath away. Trek through dense rhododendron forests, beautiful valleys, waterfalls and rice terraces surrounding the small villages of Birethati, Hile, and Tadapani.  

You will arrive in Kathmandu, a beautifully chaotic city. After a briefing of your trek, you will have the rest of the day in your hands and you can spend it the way you wish. An overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu. 

6-7 hours

You will take a tourist bus to Pokhara. You will get to enjoy an amazing ride with exciting scenery all along. Rivers and valleys rocky gorges and pattered rice terraces are some scenes you will come upon. When you arrive Pokhara you will check in to a hotel and then you can take a stroll around, or enjoy boating on Fewa Lake and view the refections of some peaks surrounding Pokhara on the clear lake. Overnight hotel in Pokhara.  

3-4 hours, 540 m ascent, Camp alt. 1540 m

You will drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, the start point for the trail. You will walk along the river banks of Modi Khola until you reach a large village called Birethanti filled with shops and teahouses. You will walk through the village and follow the banks of the Bhurungdi Khola. You will gradually climb up the valley to Hille (1495 m) to get to Tikhedhunga at 1570 m. Overnight at guesthouse in Tikhedhunga. 

4-6 hours, 1360 m ascent, Camp alt. 2775 m

Today you will be ascending a steep stone staircase to Magar village, another large village, of Ulleri (2080 m). The trail continues onward through cultivated land and pastures. An hour walk from Ulleri you will make a water break to catch your breath and you will continue on. After passing two streams you will do one more climb to get to Nangethanti, your lunch spot, where ‘Thanti’ means rest house in Nepali. From this rest house, you will commence your climb to Ghorepani at 2850 m. Ghorepani is a spectacular viewpoint offering amazing views of Dhaulagiri (8167m), Nilgiri (6940 m), Annapurna I (8091 m), Hiunchuli (6441 m) and more. Overnight at a guesthouse. 

5-6 hours, 550 m descent 710 m ascent, Camp alt. 2540 m

Today you will hike up to Poon Hill (3210 m). The view at sunrise of the stunning Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Fishtail and others from this point will take your breath away. You will walk back down to Ghorepani for breakfast, and then continue your walk to Tadapani. Overnight at guesthouse here. 

Today you will head on down to Ghandruk village, through rhododendron forests to Baise Kharka. Gandruk is a large Gurung settlement, an ethnic group of Nepal. After you hit Ghandruk the walk gets easier. You will come across small hamlets, subtropical forests and terraced fields. Gradually, as you fold the Modi Khola river you will arrive at Birethanti, and onwards until you reach Nayapul where the vehicle will be waiting to take you to Pokhara. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara. 

6-7 hours

Enjoy a picturesque ride back to Kathmandu. The rest of the day is at your leisure, you can explore the city one last time on this trip.
