OVERVIEW

Kathmandu has plenty to offer being the capital city of Nepal. It is full of centuries-old monuments with rich history and many have found its way onto the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list. On this tour you will visit some of these sites and other small vibrant cities like Pokhara, and enjoy a full day exploring it. A short trek to the Eco-village is also a highlight where you will get the opportunity to experience life in a traditional Nepali village and spend some time in the natural environment, contrasting that of the bustling city.

ITINERARY

Kathmandu is an enchanting city with packed markets lining the bustling streets. This exotic city is spotted with vibrant temples and pagodas and brims with rich history and culture. After being transferred to your hotel, you will have the rest of the day to stroll around this charming city. Overnight at a hotel.

Today you will visit the 14th century Boudhanath Stupa. The stupa originates from Tibetan roots and it is one of the most sacred Buddhist sites on earth. You will see hoards of people circumambulating the stupa while softly chanting prayers. Around the stupa you will find shops with local traders selling cloths, lamps and other products. After you explore this area you will head on over to Lord Shiva’s temple called the Pashupatinath. Witness the holy Hindu traditions here and practice of daily rituals of the Hindus. Then you will go to Nagarkot viewpoint to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the himalayas. Overnight at a resort in Nagarkot. 

Wake up early today to catch the stunning sunrise over the Himalayas. You will drive to Bhaktapur after breakfast. The Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a UNESCO World heritage site renowned for its amazing art, architecture and culture and also spot the golden gate adorned with massive statues of lions on either side. You will also get an insight into the traditions and cultures of the Newari community. Overnight at hotel in Bhaktapur. 

After breakfast you will drive to Pokhara, the lake city in western Nepal. After making a lunch stop you will explore Lake Phewa on a boat whilst enjoying the gorgeous vista of the Annapurna Range. As the boat ride comes to an end you will also get to see the sunset over the mountains from the lake. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara. 

Pokhara is renowned for its beauty among visitors. You can wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the panoramic vista of the himalayas like Machhapuchre, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu. After breakfast you will start to explore the Pokhara valley. You will take a boat to get to the Tal Barahi Temple. You will also visit Davi’s fall and the Gupteshwar Mahadev cave. You will then return to the hotel for the day. Overnight at hotel. 

The start off point towards the Eco village is from Hemja which you will drive to, after breakfast. Once you get there you will start your trek to Annapurna Eco village. The eco village’s main aim is to give travelers the opportunity to experience a traditional Nepali village. You will learn more about the Nepali culture while enjoying amazing views of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu, and Pokhara valley. Overnight at the Eco village. 

You can wake up early once again to watch the stunning sunrise over the Annapurna range. If the sky is clear you will be able to see three of the world’s tallest mountains from this point. After a nice breakfast in the garden you will climb back down and drive to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara. 

Today you will drive back to Kathmandu through villages of the countryside. On the way you can also visit the wish fulfilling temple of Manakamana by cable car and then continue on your journey. Upon arrival to Kathmandu you can take the rest of the day at your leisure and explore the city once again before leaving. You may also do some souvenir shopping tonight. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu. 

Today you will visit the Swayambhunath Stupa which is a Buddhist stupa perched on Nagarjun Hill overlooking the valley. This is commonly known as the monkey temple because of an abundance of monkeys found there. After you explore Swayambhu we will head on to Thamel. It is a popular site among tourists, the streets are busy with vibrant markets and restaurants side to side. There are ancient temples and stupas that represent the times when Kathmandu was a kingdom. You will lunch in Thamel and then drive to Patan Durbar Square, located right in the center of Lalitpur city. You can visit the ancient royal palace, and continue on admiring the Newar architecture. You will have time to explore the site on your own, before driving back to Kathmandu city. Overnight at a hotel.
