With Nepal’s difficult geography and climate, domestic flights are prone to delays and cancellations. Unfavourable weather conditions like heavy rain, strong winds, thick fog, etc. may call for a delay or cancellation of your flight due to the lack of Instrumental Landing System in Nepal at the Tribhuwan International Airport. During monsoon season in Nepal (June-August) flight delays and cancellations are more common.
Domestic flights in the Everest, Annapurna, Simikot and Jumla regions, Lukla flights, Jomsom flight are prone to cancellations and delays. Sometimes the delays maybe be short but other times they could last a whole day. Oasis Nepal travel recommend clients to carry extra money for additional food and accommodation expenses. We will not be responsible for these costs.
Clients are strongly recommended to have an updated travel insurance package that covers trip cancellation, injury, emergency evacuation/rescue, medical treatment, loss of personal belongings, theft, death, etc. The insurance must cover activities that you will involve in during your stay in Nepal, not restricted to trekking, climbing, rafting, and biking. If a client suffers from an injury or illness, all expenses for the treatment is the client’s full responsibility.
While trekking/climbing, you must carry a copy of your insurance policy which specifically need to cover emergency helicopter rescue services. These services won’t come to your aid unless you make a cash deposit or you guarantee payment in Kathmandu, prior to your journey. Oasis Nepal Travel will complete the initial payments for rescue/evacuation insurance and will then be reimbursed by your insurance company.
We strive to provide quality service to give our clients a genuine and unforgettable experience in Nepal. Prior to the trip we communicate with our clients discussing every aspect of the trip to the minute details. Oasis Nepal Travel shall not be held responsible for cancellation resulted from any event beyond our control, such as natural calamities, national emergency, civil strife, war or acts of terrorism that may effectively hamper the smooth unfolding of the trip. Thus, we recommend a thorough and updated insurance program for our clients before entering Nepal.
